Curriculum

Each class is an age appropriate length divided into sections. In addition to our regular monthly topics I use different weekly themes to intrigue your child as they learn to express themselves and increase their academic knowledge. Some of the things your child will learn:

Letter and number recognition and writing, letter sounds and blends
Alphabet and Pledge of Allegiance in sign language
Numbers, Shapes and Colors in Spanish and sign language
Geography: from our house to our solar system and everything in between
Holidays, Seasons, Weather, Calendar, Time
Character building principles such as compassion, charity, individuality
Magnets, Electricity, Baking, Animals, Money, Authors, Sports
Singing, Instruments, Painting, Drawing, Sculpting
and more!

While there are obvious academic benefits to having your child attend preschool, my primary objective is to give them a safe and loving environment where they can enjoy learning. They will build their confidence, social skills, and imaginations. Though there are guidelines of what children should be doing at each age level, I don't like to use them as a check off list for what your child should know. I like to open the door for progress without being so strict or pushy that the children are turned off of wanting to learn. The important thing at this age is to feel safe, to love learning, and to make the parent/teacher/child connection that will be the foundation for all the school years to come.

I include LDS Primary Music Practice class to help your kids gain confidence and increase participation in Primary music time. They will practice the songs for the annual Primary Program as well as holiday/seasonal Primary songs.
